FAMOUS MUSICIAN ARRESTED IN DUBAI


Malawi's musician Joseph Alfazema plying his trade in Dubai under the unskilled labor job initiatives launched by former president Joyce Banda to beat unemployment was arrested and fined for littering.

The "Maphunziro ndiye Tsogolo" hot maker was nabbed by police at Sonapur as one police man saw him littering the bubble gum he was chewing in a train he had boarded from Alweer to Deira. Alfazema who quit singing as vied for the job in the United Arab Emirates, told the Nation Newspaper that he was handcuffed and charged before paying a fine of 200 UAE Dirham.
He said he had gotten used to the Malawian environment in which littering is not really something to get you arrested and fined as it is the case in UAE. Alfazema is among the youths that went to the UAE under the Joyce Banda administration where he and the other Malawian youths as unskilled labor working in various companies.
