Infidelity has many forms, from sex outside
an established relationship to hiding a secret bank account. With the advent of
social media, a new kind of cheating has emerged which violates the bounds of
marriage or commitment; digital flirtation. In this new age of rapid-fire
electronic communication, a player adopts to the trend after carefully considering
all the benefits and consequences that may arise.
Here are quick ways to know that
your partner is cheating:
1. You see people commenting on their Facebook wall and
sharing inside jokes, yet you have no idea who they are. Many people
can't even recognize all of their own Facebook friends, let alone their
partner's. We all may have co-workers, friends of friends, and random people
from our middle-school, debate teams on our friends lists that our partner
wouldn't be able to pick out of a lineup. But if someone is all over your
partner's wall, and seems to show a level of intimacy and humor with them
that you're not privy to, the fact that he they have not talked about this
person could be a sign that there's really something to hide.
2. They get defensive about how much time they spend on his
phone, or even try to accuse you of bad behavior. If your partner is doing
something they know they shouldn't, they may go on the offensive first, or
stockpile their defense in a desperate bid to fend off you noticing it. Maybe they
won't even entertain a single discussion about how much time they spend on
their phone, or they’re quick to pick apart your online
habits. Why would they be so wound up about it? It could be a sign they’re
protecting against something they already know, but doesn't want you to.
3. They will name call you with the appeasing and lofty ones
usually in your inbox and the less tingly ones on your wall.
4. They will be cautious not to raise any red flags if you
commented on postages on their wall knowing that there are eyes watching.
5. When you update your status because remember they are cautious,
they reach for the safety net which is your inbox to dazzle you some more.
